Chess greetings, all deaf chess friends!

ICCD has recently been besieged by requests from all over the world either through deaf chess federations or deaf chess individuals. ICCD can understand the growing frustration among certain parties, and wish to apologise for the delay in responding. This cannot be helped given the limited resources and severe time constraints.

We cannot use the war situation as an excuse but we are currently focused on helping the well being of the deaf Ukrainian chess players some of whom are now scattered outside their home country. And also on both the Cordoba and Warsaw events; these events are a priority to us for we are determined to make both events a great success. The ICCD Warsaw Congress shall go ahead as planned.

In time, ICCD will respond to all email queries.  We can assure all that medals, diplomas and titles for Li chess events will be awarded later in the year.

ICCD wishes to express their thanks to you all for your patience during turbulent times and sincerely hope that calm will be restored as soon as possible.

Yours in chess

Phillip Gardner, ICCD President
