Colombia’s only participant, 17-year-old Steven Ramirez Ramirez Anderson, deservedly won the ICCD bronze medal of the 1st ICCD World Online Junior Boys Championships by beating Iran’s 16-year-old player, Pouria Jamili (ELO 1808) 2-0.

He has already taken the deaf chess world by storm, having sensationally captured the 1st ICCD World Online Blitz Championship gold medal in 2020 and comfortably beating off the top rated ICCD chess players.  He is much stronger than his present ELO rating suggests (1639).

Anderson has aspiration of becoming an international chess master, and is currently receiving tuition from a Venezuelan IM.  He hopes to partake in future ICCD chess tournaments.

Congratulations in putting Colombia on the ICCD chess map!
